I hope you all are staying warm and having a wonderful weekend.
This week, we will be celebrating our counselors. They play an essential role in our school and are often a safe place for many students for various reasons.
This week, our 8th-grade students will be visiting the high school. If your child is in 8th grade, hang on tight! They are almost in high school. There is also information in this E-news about an event at the high school for upcoming 9th-grade students.
You will also find below information about Bumpus Curriculum nights targeting our upcoming 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students. In the past, this was known as “Expo” night. We are holding this event earlier than we did in the past to get a jump-start on the master schedule. We are looking forward to both nights of this event.
Kindness week is coming in February! Please see below for information on purchasing a shirt for your child.
Anticipated Absence Forms
These are being submitted to our attendance office as incomplete. Please see the instructions below and a copy of the attendance form. We must receive these in a timely, complete manner.
Parents, please complete the section of the form marked for parents.
Students, please complete the section of the form marked for students. Have your teachers complete the section marked for teachers and have each teacher sign the form.
After all parties complete the form, please RETURN the COMPLETED form to Mrs. Rush in the 2nd-floor office or email the COMPLETED form to bumpusattendance@hoover.k12.al.us.
Please do not email incomplete Anticipated Absence forms to Bumpus Attendance. The forms must be fully completed and submitted before the student's absence for them to be approved by the administrator.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Rush in the Bumpus Attendance Office at (205) 439-2268 or at bumpusattendance@hoover.k12.al.us.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email or call me.
With Pride,
Andrea Fordham
