I hope you all stayed safe during all the rain. I thought I was going to float home after school yesterday. We had a great “short” week. Report cards are available for review in PowerSchool. Please take the time to review your student's grades. Data folders will be going home next Friday for you to review the I-Ready Middle of the Year scores with your child. Please help us encourage your child to take these diagnostics seriously. While this test is not a grade, it really does help us as a school, in content areas, teams, and grade levels, see our “glows and grows,” so we can assist students, urge them to keep up the pace, and watch all of them soar to their own personal potential.
Please scroll through this entire email, as it contains a significant amount of information.
Parents of current 8th-grade students, please see below for information regarding the upcoming 9th-grade curriculum night at the high school.
Anticipated Absence Forms
These are being submitted to our attendance office incomplete. Please see the instructions below, along with a copy of the attendance form. We must receive these in a timely, complete manner.
Parents, please complete the section of the form marked for parents.
Students, please complete the section of the form marked for students. Have your teachers complete the section marked for teachers and have each teacher sign the form.
After all parties complete the form, please RETURN the COMPLETED form to Mrs. Rush in the 2nd-floor office or email the COMPLETED form to bumpusattendance@hoover.k12.al.us.
Please do not email incomplete Anticipated Absence forms to Bumpus Attendance. The forms must be fully completed and submitted before the student's absence for them to be approved by the administrator.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Rush in the Bumpus Attendance Office at (205) 439-2268 or at bumpusattendance@hoover.k12.al.us.
There will be numerous upcoming events this spring, so stay tuned for more information. If you need me for anything, I am a phone call or email away.
With Pride,
Andrea Fordham
