A message from our Principal

Bumpus Family--

The time is finally here. The 25/26 school year is fast approaching. If you were able to attend BUCS Day this week, thank you for coming. It was a great event. If you could not make it, you will have one more opportunity on Tuesday, August 5th, from 4:00-6:00 pm. There are some minor changes taking place to schedules, as we are continuing to balance class sizes. All students will receive another copy of their schedule on the first day of school.

Below are a few reminders for you all.

FOCUS ACT INFORMATION

Devices should not be visible or used at any time from the moment you enter the building. They should be turned off and in your backpack. This includes locker rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and on your way out of the building if you check out or check in before 3:30pm. Devices include: cellular devices, smart watches, iPads, tablets, Kindles, AirPods, AirPod-type devices, gaming devices, smart glasses.

BUCS Serve- Community Service Information

Bumpus Community Service BUCS SERVE Information Meeting Join us on Thursday, August 14 A122, 3:30-4:15pm Attendance is required to serve at Bumpus during the Year.
BUCS SERVE is our Bumpus Community Service Group- we help teachers, administrators, and staff, as we learn how to be servant leaders. Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Get involved! Join our BUCS Serve Google Classroom in order to participate: osuzb6c August morning cafeteria stocking and after school dates are posted in the sign-up Google Form. Use bit.ly/rfbservice to sign up! Teal 25-26 Community Service Forms are available at the front office and in the hanging basket outside of A122.

Attendance Information

Attendance Matters Every Day Mrs. Rush - 2nd floor This year, parents are still required to physically sign parent notes and may not use an e-signature. Parents can submit the signed excuse either by attaching it via email (as done last year) or by attaching it using ParentSquare. Simply replying to the "your student has been marked absent" alert will not suffice unless the parent note or doctor note is attached. Please remember to provide a handwritten note with your signature or a doctor's excuse within 3 days of their return to school.
Attendance Reminders: Please email bumpusattendance@hoover.k12.al.us or call (205) 439-2268 concerning all attendance issues. ● Turn in notes WITHIN 3 DAYS OF ABSENCE in the gray boxes or to Mrs. Rush. ● Notes CAN BE EMAILED as long as there is a signature to: bumpusattendance@hoover.k12.al.us ● ONLY 9 PARENT EXCUSED absences per year ● Anticipated Absence Forms must be turned in AT LEAST 3 DAYS PRIOR to the absence
