A message from our Principal

Bumpus Family--

We are excited for SPIRIT WEEK next week. Please see this newsletter for dress-up information. Dress code still applies!!

Progress Reports went LIVE yesterday. Please take a moment to review your student's grades.

Please follow our attendance policies and submit excuses. Please remember: if you email a handwritten excuse, you must sign the note.
  • If you are checking out your child, you must arrive before 3 pm. Thank you!

Color Run is Oct. 8th!! Registration is $35. This includes a shirt and paint. You can register on My School Bucks. On Sept. 23, PTO will be in the building to accept cash or check payments. You can send it with your child or come to the school. Times are 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. You can also send payment to the school with your child or pay using My School Bucks.

A friendly reminder: we DO NOT allow outside food for lunch. All food should be in a lunch box or an unmarked container/bag. Outside drinks are also not allowed. If food is brought in, your student will eat in the office and then return to the lunchroom with their peers once they are done eating.

Parents, we have seen an influx of students checking themselves into school, either because they are running late or because they have been out for an appointment. All check-ins need an adult present. If you do not come into the building to check your child in in-person, you will receive a phone call to return to the school and complete the check-in paperwork.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me at afordham@hoover.k12.al.us.

With Pride,
Dr. Andrea Fordham
