A message from our Principal

Bumpus Family--

We made it! August feels like it was yesterday, and we were welcoming the 25-26 school year with open arms. As I close out this school year, I am engulfed with a sense of pride. I am proud to serve this school and community. I appreciate the grace and patience that you have shown me. Personally, I am always looking for ways to reflect and grow. I know the future of Bumpus Middle School is bright and prosperous.

A few items to remember for this summer:
  • Office hours are from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Thursday
  • If you need the registrar for enrollment or withdrawal information, please contact Angela Schaefer at aschaefer@hoover.k12.al.us.
  • My School Fees will not be available after May 27. District news will go out when we start using the new platform.
  • 6th Grade Day for upcoming 6th-grade students and New to Hoover Students will have their event here on July 30 from 10:30 am - 12 pm. Parents and students should plan on attending the whole time.
  • BUCS Day will be August 10. More information to come, but this will be from 9 am-3:30 pm. This is a day to meet teachers, walk schedules, and learn all things, Bumpus. This is a come-and-go event.

Please see this newsletter for some camp information. We are offering a math camp for upcoming 8th-grade students to stay on top of their material and get a glimpse of what math will be like in 8th grade. This will be offered online. See the flyer below for more information.
