A message from our Principal

Bumpus Family--

Whew!! We are done with our school-wide ACAP testing. However, we will continue to have make-ups this week. If your student has missed a test, please make sure they are at school. Our goal is to wrap up testing by Wednesday, but our deadline is Friday. It was very fun for me to have students approach me and say, “Dr. Fordham, I did my best!” That made my heart happy!

Wednesday is Administrative Professionals Day! We could not do what we do daily without our school secretaries, bookkeeper, and registrar. They are the backbone of our school.

Our PTO created a sign-up sheet for parents to help on May 1 at our ACAP Field Day. If you did not see the sign-up and would like to help, please email bumpuspto25@gmail.com.

Progress reports went LIVE on Friday. Please take the time to review your student's grades.

Our goal until the rest of the school year is to stay focused and keep our eyes on the finish line!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email or call me.

With Pride,
Dr. Andrea Fordham

Important Messages from the School Nurses

Wellness Prevention

As cold and flu season is upon us, it is especially important that we do all we can to prevent the spread of germs. Below are some helpful tips from the school nurses on wellness prevention:

  • Frequent and thorough hand washing with soap and warm, running water is our best line of defense against the spread of germs.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Germs are often spread when a person touches a surface or object contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • If your child has a fever, they should remain at home. Children must be fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medications for 24 hours before returning to school. This will help prevent the spread of illnesses to others. Click here to see when to keep your child home from school.
By working together, we can maintain a clean and healthy environment for our students and staff and limit the spread of germs. This also helps to prevent the sharing of germs with our family and friends outside of school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your school nurse for guidance.
