Morris has served as a Technology Integration Coach at Spain Park High School and Robert F. Bumpus Middle School where she has led technology-driven initiatives and empowered educators to incorporate digital tools effectively into their classrooms. She succeeds Kelli Lane, who was recently named the district's Chief Technology Officer.

Throughout her career, Morris has committed to aligning technology strategies with district goals. Her accomplishments include developing Technology Lunch and Learn sessions for parents, collaborating with teachers on tailored technology plans, and implementing solutions that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

In her new role, Morris will oversee technology integration across the district, manage digital resources, and lead professional development efforts to ensure educators are equipped to meet the demands of 21st-century education.

“I am honored to step into the Director of Technology Integration role,” said Morris. “Hoover City Schools has always been at the forefront of educational innovation, and I am excited to continue empowering our educators and students to thrive in a dynamic digital landscape.”

She graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in education and a master’s degree in instructional technology. She started her career in education as a teacher at Clay-Chalkville High School before joining Bumpus Middle School as an English teacher. She has served as a Technology Integration Coach for HCS since 2020.

Morris’ leadership will further advance the mission of Hoover City Schools to provide opportunities for all students to achieve personal excellence and develop exemplary character through a rigorous and relevant curriculum in a safe, caring environment.
